Congressman Jim Jordan, joining lots of others, voted to extend the debt ceiling today. Disappointing, but not a surprise.
He will NOT be holding any town hall meetings while in Ohio 1/28 - 2/02. I wonder how many business leaders and big campaign contributors he will visit with while here.
There will, most likely, be no spending cuts of any consequence to the average taxpayer because we have no one lobbying for us. We educate, police, donate the lives of our sons and daughters and provide billions of dollars in "aide" for the entire world.
Our tax dollars are being distributed throughout the world on a daily basis. 8.5 billion dollars was the 2012 budget for the EPA alone. Rivers and lakes are not just being cleaned up; they are being redesigned to support climate smart preparation; rocks, boulders to deflect heavy storm waters, the creation levels for fish, vegetation and even trees to cool the water! The EPA is only one agency involved. Thousands of federal, state and local groups now share our tax dollars for any project they deem important. They all lobby for the funds and get them. These are areas that need cutting - NOW.
If don't think you are over taxed and under represented; well, you know!
